Shipping on the Wolfgangsee has existed since the emperor's times - in 1873 the paddle steamer "Kaiser Franz Josef I" "stabbed" into the Wolfgangsee for the first time, at that time it was praised as a "technical achievement". The 33m long nostalgia ship has been a star in numerous films and is still part of the fleet. Today the fleet has six motor ships with the flagship “Salzburg” at the top. The largest ship is the "Österreich", it can hold 365 passengers.
