Anif Wayside Shrine Trail
The Anif Wayside Cross Trail combines exercise, culture and quiet local history in a particularly peaceful way. Over approximately 14 kilometres, the cultural trail leads through Anif, Niederalm and Neu-Anif to around 30 wayside crosses, frescoes and weather crosses. Ideal for those who enjoy walking, hiking or discovering the village away from the beaten path, this is a great way to experience Anif consciously.
The Anif Wayside Cross Trail is not a classic circular route from one attraction to another, but rather a cultural and devotional path through the village and its landscape. Along the route, you will encounter wayside crosses, frescoes and weather crosses that tell of local tradition, faith and village history. The trail connects the Anif, Niederalm and Neu-Anif districts and showcases much of what makes Anif special: well-maintained paths, green surroundings and the proximity to the village’s everyday life.
