Anif is on the move. Runners can choose from several signposted routes through the town and its surroundings. Cyclists enjoy stretches along the Salzach river, through Hellbrunn and into Salzburg’s old town. For more, there are routes around Untersberg or into the highlands. Between town, countryside, river and panoramic views, there are plenty of ways to rack up the kilometres.

Asphalt, woodland paths and varied sections: the round courses of the Bewegungsarena take you through Anif and the surrounding area, offering routes for different fitness levels. Along the way, you’ll be accompanied by views of the mountain world and local sights. A colour-coded signage system makes orientation easier.

Let's hit the bike trails from Anif

Those who prefer to pedal will find surprisingly many options around Anif. Relaxed cycling along the river into the city, through the Hellbrunner Allee, or multi-day rides on long-distance cycle routes through the region: Anif has it all. Nearby Salzburg offers bike shops and rental services, repair workshops, e-bike charging stations, and bike lockers.

Gravel & Road Bikes

Flat kilometres along the Salzach River or longer loops around the city and into the Salzburg countryside: from Anif, routes can be easily combined for gravel and road bike enthusiasts. Those seeking elevation should head towards Untersberg, Grödig and the Berchtesgaden region. Those preferring distance should follow the cycle paths towards Hallein or Salzburg.

Mountain bike & E-MTB

For mountain bikers, the terrain begins outside the town centre. Around Untersberg and in the Salzburg mountain region, there are tour options with more vertical metres and a sporting challenge. A charging station for e-bikes is located, among other places, at Hotel Schlosswirt in Anif.
